If you have a bicycle, you have probably encountered situations where you wished that the bike were powered. Swytch Technology, a London-based company, provides power kits that can be installed on almost any bikes to make them electric. The inventors developed the product to make electric bikes affordable to many people. The kit has a lithium battery that provides 250 W and can move a bike 15 miles/hour. Specifically, the kit contains a power pack with LCD display to be installed at the front of a bike, a motor wheel to replace the regular front wheel, and a connector. All the components can be installed in a bike in about 10 minutes. In addition, the kit has a USB port to charge phones. The whole Swytch eBike system is lightweight and removable. This innovation is a nice way to power our transportation without leaving a large carbon footprint like cars.
