Twitter Out, X In

Twitter2

Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, indicated that the purpose of the purchase was to ensure freedom of speech and speed up the development of a super-app where users can do almost anything online.

He moved further to change the app name from Twitter to X. The address x.com leads to the Twitter login page. The company’s official handle @X has replaced the old Twitter handle. The website has evolved from a platform for only short messages to include long videos, broadcasting, and live conversations. The new app will likely enable financial transactions, as hinted by Musk, as well as podcast, shopping, and subscription-based content. Future development of a super-app (like WeChat from China) could cover a large variety of services, such as video conferencing, video games, banking, location sharing, ride hailing, and food delivery. To achieve this kind of capabilities, however, X probably will need additional staff and a new cloud infrastructure.

Further Possibilities

1. X might develop a virtual currency.

Develop an integrated virtual currency system that rewards users for engaging with content, sharing valuable contributions, or participating in community activities. This can incentivize user engagement and foster a vibrant and active user community.

2. X might develop in-app content creation tools.

Introduce intuitive content creation tools that empower users to create visually appealing and engaging content with ease. Features like interactive polls, customizable templates, text-to-anything AI can elevate the creativity and interactivity of content.

3. X might enable companies to develop applet.

With a self-designed applet, companies would be able to attract traffic and build a user base in x.com.

4. X might build strategic partnerships.

X can establish strategic partnerships with technology companies and cloud service providers to access their existing infrastructure and expertise. Collaborating with established partners can help accelerate the development process and provide access to a robust cloud infrastructure.

5. X might promote livestream shopping.

Livestream shopping combines the elements of live video streaming and e-commerce, allowing businesses or influencers to showcase products in real-time while viewers can make purchases directly during the live broadcast.
